The Newcastle MBA Function Room, located in the heart of Broadmeadow, is a newly constructed, modern function space.
Our expansive venue features a spacious interior with contemporary booth seating and endless set up options as well as an open outdoor area, offering a functional yet stylish setting for a range of professional events. The room’s large windows fill the space with natural light, while its modern design creates a welcoming and versatile space for corporate functions, training, meetings, presentations and workshops. The outdoor area seamlessly connects the indoors with the surrounding landscape, creating an open and inviting atmosphere. Ample parking is available in nearby streets, ensuring easy access for all attendees.

More Information
CLEANING
Cleaning is to be completed by the hirer or MBA will organise for the room to be cleaned for an additional charge depending on areas used as per the below:
* Unless a small meeting, professional cleaning is required.
- Function space and bathrooms only: $120.00 (exclusive GST)
- Function space, bathrooms and kitchen: $200.00 (exclusive GST)
- Function space, bathrooms, kitchen and bar: $280.00 (exclusive GST)
- All areas including function space, bathrooms, kitchen, bar and outdoor area: $400.00 (exclusive GST)
Before leaving the hirer must ensure they have:
- Turned the tea/coffee urn off
- Ensure all sliding doors are locked
- Turn all lights off
- Turn all air conditioners off
- Ensure entry/exit door is shut & locked behind you. If after hours please also pull the courtyard gate shut and ensure the lock magnets at the top
- If you do not request MBA to book the cleaners, please ensure you also:
- Vacuum the floors - vacuum is kept in the storeroom
- Dispose of all rubbish inc paper towel bins in the bathrooms (if full) in the Ground Floor bins located at the rear of the building - new bin bags located in the cleaners cupboard in bathroom hallway

Room Hire FAQ
When is the room available?
Usage of the room is limited to office hours Monday to Friday. Anything outside of this is as per agreement with Newcastle MBA.
Are any functions not allowed?
Usage is limited to corporate functions, training, meetings, presentations, workshops, in-house and MBA usage (no private functions).
Do you have parking?
If the area is being used during business hours, 2 Visitors parking spaces can be utilised (if they are available). These are located in the carpark at the rear of the building. All other parking will be in the street.
If after hours, other labelled MBA parking spaces may be used.
What if something gets damaged?
All damage sustained to any part of the venue or equipment during the hiring period is the responsibility of the hirer – additional charges will apply.
Is smoking allowed?
Newcastle MBA is a ‘non-smoking’ venue. Smoking is banned within 4 meters of a pedestrian entrance to or exit from a public building in NSW. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all personnel attending the function observe this rule.
Do you provide security?
Any property left behind after the event is at the hirer’s own risk. Newcastle MBA takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
If your hire concludes after hours, you must ensure:
- All doors and entry points are closed and locked as per instructions from MBA staff
- No unauthorised persons are granted access to the premises
- The venue is not re-entered once locked and armed
Failure to follow security procedures may result in additional charges, including call-out fees or damages.
What if there is a work, health and safety incident?

What are the emergency procedures?
Emergency exits are clearly marked on the diagrams posted in the function room. Exit from the training room is from the door on the left when looking out towards the carpark area. The muster point is in the lane way at Lang Road (behind the carpark area).
In the event of an emergency, follow instructions from MBA staff (if during staffed hours) or refer to the posted evacuation diagrams and call 000.
